This is the one service with a hard edge around it, and it is better said on the page than on the phone. We build and install vanities and sinks. We do not do tile, we do not do showers, and we do not take on full bathroom remodels.
If the vanity is the thing that dates the room, that edge costs you nothing: swapping it is a short job with a large visual return. If the whole bathroom is coming out, you want a bathroom remodeler, and we would rather tell you that now.
Getting it right
Height, depth, and where the plumbing actually is
Older vanities sit low by modern standards, which is why a taller cabinet often feels like a bigger change than the new counter on top of it. Depth is the other half: in a narrow bathroom, a couple of inches shallower is the difference between a door that swings and a door that does not.
Drain and supply positions decide how much the interior can hold, so the measure includes looking under the old one before anything is drawn.

What is a standard vanity height?
Older builds commonly sit around 30 to 32 inches, and taller comfort-height cabinetry is the usual choice in a new one. The right answer depends on who uses the bathroom, which is a conversation at the measure.
Can you install a double vanity where there is a single now?
It depends on the wall length and where the drain sits. Both get checked at the in-home visit before anyone promises you two sinks.
